Place your poinsettia in bright indirect light, away from severe drafts or excessive heat. Avoid setting them near appliance vents, fireplaces, ventilation ducts and outside doors that are opened frequently. Poinsettias prefer temperatures between 65 and 70°, in general if you are comfortable so is your poinsettia. Water your poinsettia only when the soil is dry, saturated soil can damage the plants. Remove dead blooms and leaves as needed. If you have to transport your poinsettia make sure to protect them from winds and temperatures under 45°.
